This collection of 50 soft pastels is part of the "Complementary Harmony" series, created to gradually restore and enrich the historic Girault® color range.

After several years dedicated to recreating discontinued shades, this set brings the Girault® collection to 450 available colors out of the original 526 shades from the historic color chart, some of which had not been produced since the 1960s.

Rediscovering a Lost Color Heritage

For nearly sixty years, only part of the original Girault® color range remained in production.

Since 2020, a gradual restoration effort has brought discontinued shades back to life:

• • 20 shades recreated in 2020
  • 30 shades recreated in 2021
  • 50 shades recreated in 2023
  • 50 new recreated shades in 2026

Complementary Harmony 3 continues this journey: the revival of a historic color range while remaining faithful to its original heritage.

The 50 shades included in this set form a complementary palette designed to:

• enrich an existing Girault® collection
• expand chromatic possibilities and color combinations
• rediscover historic shades unavailable since the 1960s

Featuring complements to:

Scarlet Violet, Vermilion, Orange Lead, Golden Ochre, Mouse Gray, Bistre, Red Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Peacock Blue Green, Bluish Green Gray, Cobalt Green, Naples Yellow, Olive Gray, Apple Green, Chrome Green, and Raw Sienna.
